Ms. Shanice McCord, 8th Grade Counselor

Hello students, families, and all members of the Ola community! My name is Mrs. Shanice McCord, and I am your 8th-grade school counselor.

 

Henry County has been my home since I graduated high school in 2005, and this will be my 10th year working in Henry County Schools. I have had the privilege of serving as an elementary school counselor at Mount Carmel Elementary for five years and as a middle school counselor at Union Grove Middle School for another five years. I truly believe that middle school is where I thrive! 

 

I have three wonderful children and a fantastic husband. I look forward to meeting each of you and getting to know you better as we journey together through the school year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

**NOTE**
DO NOT send me an email or submit a Counseling Appointment Request form for emergencies. Concerns regarding abuse or self-harm should be reported to the first adult near you in person and directed immediately to the counseling office. Staff emails are not monitored after school hours. If it is afterschool hours and you have an emergency, please talk to an adult you can trust or call 911.
