Mr. Nello

I grew up in Battle Creek, Michighan -- home of Kellogg's Corn Flakes, Post Toasties, and at one time over 40 different cereal companies. One of the fondest memories from my youth is waking up to the smell of Fruit Loops in the air.

I began teaching in 2003. Prior to teaching I served four years in the United States Air Force, and participated in Desert Shield and Desert Storm at King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with the 1703rd Air Refueling Wing (Provisional). My primary duty station was located at Moody AFB near Valdosta, Georgia, 347th Combat Engineering Squadron, Electrical Powerlineman Shop.

I have taught several different subjects in my education career, including Psychology, United States History, Western-World Area Studies, Eastern-World Area Studies, Georgia Studies, and Reading. I especially enjoy United States history.

I have taught at Ola Middle since it opened in 2006. Prior to Ola, I taught at Henry County Middle, and Battle Creek Public High School, Michigan.
